Newborn Care
We never separate babies from their mothers. You'll have as much time as you want to bond with your baby and you'll decide if or when anyone touches or holds the baby. We will provide you with information and waivers regarding the States of KS and MO requirements for newborns.

We will also provide the following:
-Weight
-Measuring
-Physical Assessment
-Foot Print ID
-Birth Certificate

Postpartum Care
Once fully stable, the midwife and birthing assistant leave the home and follow up with you at two days, or sooner depending on your comfort and need. At the first postpartum visit, we will ensure breastfeeding is going smoothly and that both you and the baby are well.

We will visit you again at two weeks, and then at six weeks to offer family planning and well women care. As always, your midwife is available to you for any concerns 24 hours a day.
